Pathaan Behind-The-Scenes: Shah Rukh Khan’s Knee Injury During ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’

The Bollywood industry is abuzz with admiration for choreographer Bosco Martis, who recently shared a heartwarming anecdote from the shoot of the Pathaan song ‘Jhoome Jo Pathaan’. In a recent interaction, Bosco revealed how Shah Rukh Khan, despite battling a painful knee injury, never let it affect his performance and perfected every hookstep with dedication.

Bosco, who is currently receiving accolades for his choreography in Vicky Kaushal’s viral song “Tauba Tauba” from the movie Bad Newz, reminisced about the time he worked with Shah Rukh Khan on the Pathaan song. He disclosed to India Today, “We have associated with SRK since Swades. We choreographed the song Yeh Tara Who Tara. From then to now, it’s been an amazing experience with him. The kind of commitment and the kind of person that he is, he will not say no to any steps. He would do the steps; most of the time because of his knee injury, he was always in pain, but he never let you know.”

Despite the discomfort and pain, Shah Rukh Khan never requested any changes to the steps during the shoot. Bosco praised the actor for his professionalism and determination, stating, “During the shoot of Jhoome Jo Pathaan, the streets were cobbled, and the shoes too. But he (Shah Rukh Khan) never said anything about how uneasy he was. He would just do all the moves without any complaints, we would not even know that he used to go back to his van to fix himself up. He’ll never let you change any steps, he will do everything that you want him to do.”

“Jhoome Jo Pathaan,” featuring Shah Rukh Khan and Deepika Padukone, became a popular party anthem upon its release and received widespread acclaim. The movie Pathaan also emerged as the second-highest earner of 2023, solidifying Shah Rukh Khan’s position as the king of Bollywood.
