Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night Unveils PvP and ‘Chaos’ Modes in Latest Update

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is set to revolutionize gameplay with its upcoming Switch update, slated for May 16th, 2024. In a recent blog post, developers revealed a treasure trove of new features, marking the game’s evolution since its 2019 debut on the platform.

Among the star attractions are two electrifying modes: Chaos Mode and Versus Mode. Chaos Mode promises collaborative chaos, enabling players to team up locally or online, navigating randomized challenges and leveling up after each victorious boss encounter. The adrenaline-fueled Versus Mode pits players against each other in intense PvP battles, strategizing to acquire Souls and wield devastating attacks against opponents.

While eagerly anticipated, these modes sadly won’t support cross-platform play. However, the promise of thrilling gameplay still lingers. Adding to the excitement, premium cosmetic packs will debut alongside a free Shantae-themed costume, tantalizing players with fresh customization options.

But wait, there’s more! A mysterious mode dubbed ‘Classic II’ looms on the horizon, expanding upon the beloved ‘Classic Mode’ with an extended map and its own gripping storyline.

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, crafted by acclaimed ex-Konami developer Koji Igarashi, initially garnered praise for its immersive gameplay. However, the Switch version faced performance hurdles, earning a modest 7/10 rating. Yet, with these dynamic updates, the game’s potential for greatness shines brighter than ever.
