Apple Intelligence features for developers introduced in iOS 18.1 beta | Latest in Technology News

Apple Releases iOS 18.1 Beta with Apple Intelligence Features for iPhone and iPad

Apple has rolled out iOS 18.1 beta, iPadOS 18.1 beta, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, introducing the first set of Apple Intelligence features. These new AI features include improvements to Siri, smart capabilities in the Mail app, and natural language search support in the Photos app.

However, not all AI features are included in this release, with some like image generation and ChatGPT integration slated for future updates.

Currently, the iOS 18.1 beta is available only for the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, while the iPadOS 18.1 beta and macOS Sequoia 15.1 are limited to models powered by Apple Silicon M series chips.

For iPhones not eligible for Apple Intelligence, Apple has released the iOS 18 beta 4. Users who want to access Apple Intelligence features must join a waiting list through the settings menu.

It is important to note that the iPhone 16 series, expected to launch in September, may not come with Apple Intelligence features by default. Users will need to wait for these features to become available at a later date.

Overall, Apple’s foray into AI with the introduction of Apple Intelligence promises to enhance the user experience on Apple devices and is a significant step towards integrating AI technology into everyday tasks.
