The shooter has been identified as 21-year-old Chase Garvey, who reportedly turned the gun on himself after the mass shooting. According to reports, Garvey crashed his car into a ditch after fleeing the scene and was later found dead of a self-inflicted gunshot wound by police officers.

During a press conference, Florence Police Chief Jeff Mallery revealed that Garvey was not invited to the party but showed up anyway. It was also mentioned that Garvey acted alone during the horrific incident.

The victims of the shooting have been identified as Melissa Parrett, Delaney Eary, Shane Miller, and Hayden Rybicki. The three individuals who are currently in the Intensive Care Unit have not been named.

In a disturbing twist, it was revealed that Eary, one of the victims, was reportedly Garvey’s ex-girlfriend. This shocking revelation sheds light on a possible motive for the tragic events that unfolded at the pool party.

Garvey’s troubled past has also come to light, as he was previously arrested and charged with the rape of a 13-year-old girl in 2021. Despite this, he was sentenced to five years probation in April 2023 after pleading guilty to the unlawful transaction with a minor in the second degree.

The community of Florence is reeling from the effects of this senseless act of violence. Police Chief Mallery expressed his condolences to the victims’ families and emphasized the emotional toll that this incident has taken on everyone involved.

As the investigation into this tragic shooting continues, the community comes together to mourn the lives lost and support those who are still fighting for their lives.
